BBC Soundstart Norman Beaton Fellowship Runner-up!

Updated: Mar 22, 2019

I am so pleased to be able to say that I was a Finalist (and subsequently a Runner-up prize winner) for the 2019 BBC Soundstart Norman Beaton Fellowship!

I began the audition process through a radio acting workshop with Talawa Theatre Company and progressed to the semi-finals at BBC Broadcasting House. The Final stage involved an afternoon at Broadcasting House taking part in a radio acting workshop with actress Adjoa Andoh (who is currently directing and playing Richard II at Shakespeare's Globe) followed by a days worth of solo and group pieces prepared and performed with the other fantastic finalists!

The whole experience was fantastic and it was amazing to spend two days at Broadcasting House, not only learning from BBC Radio Drama producers and directors, but also working with some really great actors and beginning to build a love for radio drama and voice acting.

I am extremely grateful to be chosen as one of the Runners-up for the Fellowship and I'm really looking forward to working with BBC Radio Drama on one of their productions later this year!
