Tife Kusoro is a Nigerian-British writer, actor and performer. She writes and makes work that includes theatre, film, prose fiction, and page/performance poetry. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in English Literature where she received the Berkofsky Arts Award.
Tife's writing for theatre has been shortlisted for the Alfred Fagon Award, BBC Drama Script Room, and the Theatre503 Playwriting Award, her writing for film has been awarded at the UK Film Festival and her poetry has been awarded the Alison Morland poetry prize. Tife is a Bush Theatre Emerging Writer, a member of The Writing Squad (a development scheme for young writers) and a screenwriting alumna of Eastside Educational Trust.
As an actor, Tife trained on Talawa Theatre Company's TYPT programme and performed in a sell-out run of a new devised production Run It Back in East London's Hackney Showroom, August 2018. Tife was also named a runner-up for the 2019 BBC Radio Drama Norman Beaton Fellowship. She has previously performed at the Leeds Playhouse, productions at the University of Leeds and is a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
